Julia is a new language specifically designed to be fast and replace Matlab, R, and Python. Julia behaves like an interpreted language but is just in time compiled to maximize performance, sometimes exceeding the speed of C and C++.This session will give an overview of basic julia features and demonstrate some of its capabilities.
