Artist Talk by Hiwa K

Please join us for a guest lecture by Berlin-based, internationally renowned artist, Hiwa K on Friday, Feb. 1 at 16:30 in Global Building 101. Hiwa K was born and raised in Kurdistan-Northern Iraq. His award-winning work has been internationally exhibited in venues such as Manifesta 7 (2008), the Venice Biennale (2015), and documenta14 (2017). His multi-media works escape normative aesthetics and explore oral histories, modes of encounter and participation, and political situations. Visit his website at www.hiwak.net.
