EEK! Engineering Education for Kids

Monday, July 29, 2019 8 a.m. to Friday, August 2 at 4 p.m.

Join us for a week-long immersive workshop to engage the curious, the creative, the intrepid, and the brave in solving real-world engineering problems. We welcome aspiring engineers, computer scientists, mathematicians, and scientists in grades 1-8. Led by Dr. Megan Nickels, assistant professor of STEM Education, students will learn the tenets of engineering in a week-long immersive summer camp where they’ll test their creative problem-solving skills with exciting, hands-on team projects. Students will discover how engineers really work, and how as future engineers they can take on some of the greatest challenges facing our local communities and our world.

Lunch: Students should bring a bag lunch. Snacks and water will be provided. Parents of a child with a food allergy are asked to provide a snack each day.
