Faculty Recital: David Bjella, cello

Please join us for an colorful evening of French and Russian chamber music performed by cellist David Bjella and pianist Hannah Sun. The program will include the Debussy Sonata, "Louange a l'Eternite de Jesus" from the "Quautor Pour La Fin Du Temps" by Messiaen, and the Shostakovich Cello Sonata.

David Bjella is Professor of Cello at the University of Central Florida School of Performing Arts in Orlando. A native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he has an extensive, multi-faceted career as a teacher, chamber musician, orchestral player, and soloist.

Australian-American pianist Hannah Sun is a soloist, chamber musician, composer, and teacher. Currently an Adjunct Professor and Collaborative Pianist at Stetson University in Florida, Ms. Sun teaches Applied Piano and Functional Keyboard, and performs with the university’s Concert Choir and Choral Union, faculty, and students.
