Community Shoreline Stabilization
These stabilization projects are designed to enhance the sustainability and resilience of our coastal waters by increasing the numbers of live oysters, marsh grasses and mangroves.
Location: Canaveral National Seashore, North District
Visitor's Center Parking Lot
Requirements:
- You must be 18 years or older
- Wear old clothes (you will get wet/muddy)
- Wear closed-toe shoes with good soles (old sneakers preferred, no sandals) to protect feet from razor-sharp oyster shells
- Bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, water bottle and snacks
