Join the Center for Public and Nonprofit Management for a special presentation from international scholar, Dr. Fred Mear! Mear is qualified as a public sector accountant (CIPFA) & private sector accountant (FCCA) and will be discussing his research on what elements of the PFM system impact corruption perception. Over the last 30 years, Mear has worked as an academic with over 30 countries, including Sub Saharan African and Transition Economies.

As part of the aid effectiveness agenda, comparable information is available on over 100 developing countries and the relationships between different aspects of PFM systems and corruption perception. This research has identified some interesting conclusions on what elements of a PFM system impact a country's overall corruption and brings out some surprising results.
