Community Shoreline Stabilization

These stabilization projects are designed to enhance the sustainability and resilience of our coastal waters by increasing the numbers of live oysters, marsh grasses and mangroves.

LocationCanaveral National Seashore, North District
Visitor's Center Parking Lot

Requirements: 

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • Wear old clothes (you will get wet/muddy)
  • Wear closed-toe shoes with good soles (old sneakers preferred, no sandals) to protect feet from razor-sharp oyster shells
  • Bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, water bottle and snacks
