Rimma Bergeron-Langlois (Yermosh) began playing the violin when she was five years old, and her first public appearance was on Ukrainian National television when she was six. She studied at the specialized music school in Kharkov, Ukraine and was a prize winner at the Adolescent’s Assemblies of Arts International competition in Moscow, Russia. Rimma went on to pursue her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the New England Conservatory in Boston with Masuko Ushioda and Donald Weilerstein. During her studies, she won multiple New England Conservatory Concerto Competitions. She was also a soloist and competition winner with the Boston Modern Orchestra Project.

Rimma has performed extensively in concerts and recitals throughout the Europe, Russia, USA, South America, Asia and Australia. Prior to becoming the Concertmaster of Orlando Philharmonic, Rimma was Associate Concertmaster of the Syracuse Symphony. She was also Concertmaster of UBS Verbier Festival Orchestra for seven years, working with James Levine, Valery Gergiev, Yuri Temirkanov, Zubin Mehta, Charles Dutoit, Christoph von Dohnányi, Mstislav Rostropovich, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Michael Tilson Thomas and many others. Rimma was Concertmaster of the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra for Maxim Vengerov’s EMI Classics Mozart recording as well as for BBC Proms concert in London, both done without a conductor. She was Concertmaster of Gardner Museum Chamber Orchestra in Boston. Rimma has worked with Charles Dutoit at Miyazaki Festival and Seiji Ozawa at Saito Kinen Festival in Japan. She has performed with the Detroit Symphony, Toledo Symphony and Basque National Symphony in Spain, and has soloed under the direction of Yuri Bashmet and Dmitry Sitkovetsky.

Rimma is married to bassoonist Gabriel Bergeron-Langlois and they have two sons, Albert and Laurent.
