Out of health and safety concerns for our students, faculty and patrons, Theatre UCF has made the necessary decision to present several free virtual readings that will take place throughout the fall semester. More information on performances this spring will be announced soon.
Two artists with their partners find their lives unexpectedly intertwined with the life of a Black queer feminist writer from the 1960s. This intergenerational portrayal of queer relationships of color challenges our definitions of family, love and the universal act of creation.
Amplify, Empower, Illuminate: Four Plays With Many Diverse Voices
This reading is part of a series to highlight the urgent push for racial equality and social justice that is at the heart of the current anti-racist movement. This artistic response to current events brings to life contemporary plays that address the issues of injustice, police brutality and systemic racism against people of color. Each play in this series will be followed by a talkback with the creative team and guest speakers.
