Join WE HAVE VOICES for a night of poetry and prose from some of the people integral to the fight for racial equity — young, Black folks whose fight manifests in some of the most galvanizing words you'll hear this year.
Join us on Sunday, November 15 at 6 p.m. on Zoom as we partner with My Brother's Keeper to celebrate Black voices and set our sights on the ways we can continue to fight. This reading will feature Black undergrad writers from the UCF community as well as information on how to support My Brother's Keeper, an initiative started by former president Barack Obama dedicated to mentoring young people of color. We'll also be joined by special guest Brittany Rogers: a poet, mother, educator, and native Detroiter with words in Vinyl Poetry and Prose, The Offing, Tinderbox Poetry and The BreakBeat Poets: Black Girl Magic Anthology.
