Join us to hear from Dr. Rod K. Brunson, professor of public life in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Northeastern University, as a part of the Racial Justice Speaker Series hosted by the UCF Department of Criminal Justice.
Dr. Brunson’s expertise centers on police-minority community relations, youth violence and evidence-based criminal justice policy. He has consistently called for effective crime reduction strategies that do not result in racially disparate treatment of minority citizens and disadvantaged neighborhoods. Dr. Brunson is co-director of the Racial Democracy Crime and Justice Network, an organization of social scientists who conduct research on crime, inequality, and the criminal justice system. He is also an American Society of Criminology fellow.
Register to attend.
