Chinese New Year

Thursday, February 11, 2021 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year, marks the beginning of the lunar calendar which many Asian cultures and societies follow, making it one of the largest celebrations for many Asian cultures. The holiday is meant to not only welcome the new year but usher in hope, prosperity and good fortune while leaving negativity and misfortune behind. The new year also follows a cycle of 12 zodiacs with this year being the Year of the Ox, promising fortitude and strength in the coming year.
This year, MSC is partnering with several RSOs to bring you a three part event to celebrate this most auspicious holiday. For our second event, MSC is inviting you all to join us qat the Free Speech Lawn (behind Toppers ) on the Eve of the Lunar New Year to pick up some goodies and participate in some traditional holiday activities!
