In partnership with Dr. Phillips Center’s Frontyard Festival™, UCF Celebrates the Arts will be hosting ensembles daily for the lunch hour. Today’s performance features the UCF Chamber Wind Ensemble and the UCF New Music Ensemble.
11:30 a.m. | UCF Chamber Winds Ensemble
Graduate Conductors Emmanuel Rodriguez and Danny Santos will conduct mixed chamber wind ensembles comprised of students from the UCF Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band in a program of music by composers from all about the globe, including Hungarian composer, Frigyes Hidas, French Romantic composers, Francis Casadesus and Charles Lefebvre, and early 20th-century Cuban composer, Alejandro García Caturla.
12:30 p.m. | UCF New Music Ensemble
The UCF New Music Ensemble will present a concert of music for mixed chamber quartets in collaboration with the UCF Composition Studio. The performance will feature 12 world premieres of brand-new works for mallet quartet, wind quartet, and two mixed string and percussion quartets.

UCF Celebrates the Arts, a festival showcasing creativity, innovation and collaboration from Orlando’s hometown university, occurs annually at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in April. The event is hosted by the UCF College of Arts and Humanities and features the faculty and students from the School of Performing Arts and the School of Visual Arts and Design, as well as work from the humanities departments and other units from around the university. UCF Celebrates the Arts 2021 will feature both in-person and virtual events to ensure everyone can celebrate UCF artists in whatever setting they are most comfortable.
