Mock Interview with an Employer

Mock Interview only and not a real interview.

--Sessions will last 30 minutes. Employers will message you via Handshake and ask that you email him/her a resume for review prior to the meeting to maximize your 30 minutes. You are welcome to include a function/industry you would like to practice for! --

Meetings with employers are a 2-step process. After you register, you must claim a spot. Employers continue to volunteer. If you are unable to meet with an employer, keep checking Handshake in case other employers sign-up.

1. Log into your Handshake account: https://ucf.joinhandshake.com/
2. Click on the Handshake icon, top left
3. Click on Events
4. Click on Career Fair
5. Click on your preferred date
6. Click on the available session
7. Browse for a preferred employer – and then click on a time

ON THE DAY OF THE SESSION
Mock Interviews take place within Handshake. Log into your Handshake account and navigate to the fair page under Events. Test your tech requirements: https://networktest.twilio.com/.

The employer is the only one that has the ability to screen share. If you did not share your resume, as soon as you log in, ask them for their email address to share your resume with them.

Since the 1x1 sessions are 30 minutes, you can meet with multiple employers, up to 2 max. It is recommended that you do not book back-to-back appointments as you will need a few minutes to get ready for the next session. Leave at least 5 minutes in between appointments so that you can showcase your best self!

Space is limited. If you are not able to make the appointment, please cancel as soon as you can. This will allow your peers to schedule a session with that particular employer.
