Guest Artist Recital: "AI Rhythm Evolution" feat. Lisa Pegher, Percussion

Sunday, October 24, 2021 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Acclaimed NYC-based percussionist Lisa Pegher premieres a new program for percussion and electronics focusing on artificial intelligence. This concert features 10 new compositions by ICEBERG new music, a New York composer collective.

Lisa Pegher is an American drummer and solo percussionist. In her international career, she has performed throughout the world as a soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician. She is known for pioneering percussion as a solo instrument within the orchestral realm and beyond, making it her life’s work to present percussion to larger audiences by commissioning, collaborating and creating new works and performances that bring percussion to the front of the stage.

Lisa has been hailed by the New York Times as "tremendous," by the Boston Globe as “forcefully balletic” and by New York City’s The Glass as “More than just a drummer—an alchemist of time, sound, and space, crafting visceral landscapes that penetrate the ears and mind.”

Free admission, no ticket required.
