Artivism: Art and the Fight for Cuba’s Freedom ft. Vanessa Garcia

Vanessa Garcia joins the UCF community to speak on the role that the arts have played in calling for change to the island of Cuba. 

Vanessa Garcia is a Cuban multidisciplinary writer and creator working as a screenwriter, novelist, playwright, and journalist. In addition to having pieces published in The LA Times, The Miami Herald, The Washington Post, and numerous other publications, Vanessa has written for Sesame Street, Caillou, and is a consultant on Dora the Explorer.

This event is a collaboration between the UCF Cuban American Student Association and the UCF Library.
