Documentary Film “Writing with Fire” - Indie Lens Pop Up Screening

Friday, March 25, 2022 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Presented by the UCF India Center and the Global Peace Film Festival.

Join the India Center at UCF, Global Peace Film Festival and WUCF for a preview screening of Academy Award® Nominated
Documentary Film Writing with Fire, followed by a panel discussion.

Writing with Fire provides an intense look at the reporters with Khabar Lahariya—India’s only all-female news network and how in the midst of a patriarchal news landscape, they take it upon themselves to redefine power. Their awe-inspiring efforts to redefine traditional notions of power, be it on the frontlines of India’s biggest issues or within the confines of their homes, are redefining what it means to actually be powerful.
