UCF Victim Services Presents: The Vagina Monologues

Sunday, March 18, 2012 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Theatre Downtown
2113 North Orange Avenue
Orlando, FL 32804-5534

Come join us for an afternoon of feel good humor, charitable laughter, unique gifts, and heartfelt drama. In the early 1990’s Eve Ensler wrote a ground breaking play to help combat violence against women. Appropriately she named it the “Vagina Monologues”, and it took off. The money raised by the thousands of productions produced every year has gone to help build safe houses for girls in Africa as well as support the local initiatives chosen by the cast. Each year the University of Central Florida Victim Services department produces this show to help raise awareness about these issues. All proceeds will help benefit the UCF Victim Assistance fund, The Victim Service Center of Orlando, and Eve Enslers foundation. All of these initiatives work tirelessly advocating for women and men who have been victims of crime, violence, or abuse. This is a one day event, tickets are limited so get them fast. There will be live music by Mandy Burgan (http://www.mandyburgan.com/) and other local artists will be displaying their darling art and unique gifts for the pre-show/art show starting at 2PM ; the "Vagina Monologues" will begin at 4PM. Hope to see you there! Until the Violence Stops.
