Faculty Recital: Yoon Joo Hwang, bassoon

Dr. Yoon Joo Hwang, Assistant Professor of Bassoon at the University of Central Florida, has taught and performed throughout the U.S., Asia and Europe. Her multicultural education and performance backgrounds brought together a hybrid of teaching, research, and creative work nationally and internationally.

This recital will include: 

1. Eugène Bozza (1905-1991): Recit, Sicilienne et Rondo for Bassoon and Piano
2. Carl Maria von Weber (1786-1826): Concerto in F Major, Op. 75
3. Hong Young Hoo (Nan-pa, 1891-1941): “Salang” Concerto for Bassoon and Piano (arr. Dongin Jang, 2022) 
4. Gernot Wolfgang (b. 1957) : Duo for Flute and Bassoon No.1 (1992)
5. Jeeyoung Kim (b.1969): Tiger Chasing the Wind- In Memory of Isang Yun for Bassoon, Viola and Piano (2022)
6. Dongin Jang (b.1989): Die Zeit vergeht, und ich bleibe für Viola, Fagott und Klavier (2022)
