Each year, The Burnett Honors College selects on a competitive basis up to eight Honors students for participation in our Honors Abroad South Africa program inaugurated in May 2013. This program focuses on sustainability conceived in its broadest sense. Our goal is to provide students with service-learning experiences that promote sustainable practices in South Africa in collaboration with academic and community organizations from that country. Students are selected on the basis of their academic achievement, campus and community involvement, and their commitment to engaging in study-abroad as a transformative experience.
