The National Young Composers Challenge composium is part concert, part masterclass, part competition and guaranteed to be thrilling from start to finish.
Hear Central Florida’s finest musicians perform music written by the next generation of star composers for stage and screen. The best young composers in the country converge in Orlando to hear their work performed by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of maestro Christopher Wilkins.
Doors will be kept open during the event so that patrons can come to be inspired by their favorite young composer, or stay for this entire amazing event. After the performance, everyone is invited to share refreshments and mingle with musicians, judges, composers and their families, and of course Maestro Wilkins.

Presented in partnership with Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and National Young Composers Challenge. Generously supported by the Goldman Charitable Foundation. Thank you to Rollins College, Stetson University and Full Sail University for their ongoing support of and participation in this event.
Each spring, UCF hosts a large-scale celebration of creativity at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. This year, UCF Celebrates the Arts explores the intersection of arts and technology, and showcases our students, faculty and alumni through dance, concerts, cabaret, lectures and discussions, film, chamber music, family-friendly events, visual arts and more. The festival has events and exhibits for all ages and interests, and with half of the events being free, is an ideal opportunity to try something new. Fantastic possibilities lie ahead at UCF Celebrates the Arts, April 2-15 at Dr. Phillips Center! Learn more at arts.ucf.edu/celebrates.
