10,000 Memories: Unpacking the Legacy of India’s Partition

This event is a talk by Dr. Guneeta Singh Bhalla, founder of the 1947 Partition Archive, followed by a Q&A with UCF Assistant Professor Dr. Amrita Ghosh on the cataclysmic partition of India in 1947 that still lingers as a trauma and affects subcontinental politics and cultures in unique ways. Dr. Bhalla has been behind the survivor testimonies and memories of partition over the last decade on both sides of the border in India and Pakistan. This event rethinks the boundaries created by partition.
