Fulbright U.S. Student Program Application Workshop

Wednesday, April 11, 2012 10 a.m. to noon
Are you interested in conducting research or in graduate study in a foreign country? Have you ever wanted to teach English abroad? If you answer “yes” to either of these questions, you should consider applying for the Fulbright Program for U.S Students. Fulbright offers two awards: Full Grants, which provide funding for study or research at an overseas institution for an academic year, and Teaching Assistantships, which are offered at a variety of language competencies and educational levels determined by the needs of the host countries. The Fulbright Program operates in over 135 countries and is available to students of all disciplines.

Students must have a bachelor’s degree by the beginning date of the grant or assistantship. The on-campus deadline for the 2013-2014 program will be in early-September. The application workshop will focus on specific application components including selecting a country, the writing process, and letters of recommendation. Students may also bring general questions if they were unable to attend the information session. Students are welcome to attend all or part of the event. Please feel free to contact the Office of Prestigious Awards if you are interested in learning more about this award program.
