On Tuesday, Aug. 29, the Florida Prison Education Project (FPEP) is hosting an Open House for anyone interested in learning more about higher education in prison.
FPEP was established by UCF faculty in 2018, with a mission to provide educational opportunities to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people in Florida, research the societal benefits of prison education and integrate the study of justice into the UCF curriculum. Since 2018, we have offered 75 classes to more than 500 incarcerated students at six prisons in Central Florida, donated more than 50,000 books to Florida prison libraries and worked with more than 75 UCF interns and volunteers.
During the Open House, you can learn more about the program and meet our team. We look forward to seeing you!
Registration is not necessary.
