11th Annual Jerrell H. Shofner Lecture Series on Florida History and Culture: "Puerto Ricans in Florida"

Friday, October 20, 2023 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

At this year's annual Shofner Lecture, Speakers Dr. Patricia Silver and Dr. Simone Delerme will discuss the history and culture of Puerto Ricans in Florida with Moderator Dr. Elizabeth Aranda.

Dr. Silver is a Research Scholar with the Ronin Institute. Dr. Delerme is the McMullan Associate Professor of Southern Studies and an Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of Mississippi. Dr. Aranda is a Professor of Sociology and the Director of the Im/migrant Well-Being Research Center in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of South Florida.

Event reception begins at 3:30 PM, with the lecture starting at 4:15 PM.
