Jason Greene and Phillip Henry, UCF Alumni, share their career journeys from college graduates to creating their investment firm, SmartWealth. What led them into the investment world and when did they decide that it was time to launch SmartWealth? Jason and Phillip share their story and answer questions from you.
Jason began his financial career in the banking industry, gaining experience in Commercial Lending and Private Wealth Management. Upon extensive evaluation of how he could have the biggest impact in the lives of those around him, Jason joined the SmartWealth team in 2008. Jason takes pride in the relationships he builds with his clients. They know their best interest is Jason’s top priority. He thrives on educating his clients, just like he educated students, while tackling their most pressing issues.
Phillip Henry is a Financial Advisor at SmartWealth, a financial services firm based in Orlando, Florida. He has over 15 years of experience in the financial industry, including time as a mutual fund trader for Bank of New York Mellon. Phillip is passionate about helping his clients achieve their financial goals, and he takes a holistic approach to financial planning, considering all aspects of each client's unique situation.
Phillip holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Central Florida, is a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP), and is currently completing the Retirement Income Certified Planner (RICP) program. He is also licensed as a Series 7, 63, and 65 securities representative.
Phillip is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the Hispanic Chamber, the African American Chamber of Commerce, and the Conference of African American Financial Planners. He is also active in his community and serves on the boards of several non-profit organizations, including IDignity and Crave of Florida. Phillip is passionate about helping underserved populations and assisting those with a leg-up over a hand-out.
