Abstract: The talk will illustrate the highly interdisciplinary nature of intelligent transportation systems, and this will be presented in the context of some specific mathematical problems and their solutions the speaker has been involved in. Specifically, mathematical and modeling details will be shown about vehicle and traffic control problems, as well as the fundamental theory of travel time dynamics that the speaker founded.
