Informational session for Study Abroad Course "Greek Science & Astronomy"

Monday, November 20, 2023 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

On Monday, November 20 there will be an informational session for the study abroad course "Greek Science & Astronomy".

The session will take place in the Physical Sciences Building (PSB), Room 160-161 from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm. Walk-ins are welcome and no advance notice is required.

"Greek Science & Astronomy" is an easy and exciting course, open to all UCF students, independently of major. There are no prerequisites for this course. The main part of the course consists of a trip to Greece from June 4 to June 22 to explore the origins of science and technology. Participants will visit museums, archeological sites and other venues in the city of Athens and in the islands of Samos, Mykonos, Delos and Santorini. There are no class lectures during the trip in Greece. Instead, participants will learn through hands-on experiences. Participants will also have free time to explore modern life and culture in Greece.

The deadline for course applications is February 2, 2024 and they can be submitted through the Study Abroad site here. (It opens in a new window/tab.)
