Deadline: Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship

Friday, March 1, 2024 midnight to 11:45 p.m.

This funded fellowship is an academic scholarship to support students staying in Orlando to take classes and devote time to their academic research. To receive the funds, students must be taking classes in Summer C or A. Throughout the summer, professional development workshops will be offered with guest speakers and invaluable resources for students' next steps in their undergraduate career and beyond.

SURF Fellows

Students will conduct an independent research project under the guidance of a faculty mentor and present their progress in a poster format at the Summer Poster Showcase at the end of the summer semester. This track is best for students who have not conducted independent research yet or for those still involved in ongoing independent research and have not completed it yet.

Publishing Fellows

This track is for students who are done with their research or creative project and are prepared to write up their results in the form of a manuscript. This track is supported by the editors of The Pegasus Review: UCF Undergraduate Research Journal, who guide Fellows through preparing a manuscript to publish in an academic journal.
