He enjoyed many successes as a result of this album, skyrocketing towards the top of both R&B and pop charts and selling over three million copies. Keith Sweat albums made the Billboard 200 Albums of the Year Chart eight times in his career. His songs made the Billboard Hot 100 Song of the Year Charts six times in his career. In 1988, 1990, and 1996 he was nominated by the American Music Award for the Favorite Album, favorite Single Soul/ Rhythm & Blues, and for Favorite Male Artist. His one American Music Award win came in 1996 for the category Favorite Male Artist - Soul/ Rhythm & Blues. His most recent album is Dress to Impress, which was released this year on RAL/Sony.
