Sixth Annual John T. Washington Lecture Series

UCF Department of History's Africana Studies Program is pleased to host the Sixth Annual Dr. John T. Washington Lecture Series. The lecture series upholds the legacy and continues the mission of Dr. Washington.

This year's keynote speaker is Dr. Lewis Brogdon, Executive Director of the Institute for Black Church Studies at the Baptist Seminary of Kentucky.

Following a reception in The Gallery, Dr. Brogdon will deliver his lecture, “Why Dr. King said his Dream Became a Nightmare and Why it Matters Today” in the Global Communications Room of the Morgridge International Reading Center.
