All students in the Bachelor of Science Photonic Science and Engineering degree program are required to complete a senior design group project that is technically challenging, with emphasis on solving real-world problems. The projects are generated from a variety of resources including design problems proposed by industry, faculty, or student-initiated topics.
Students will present their design projects in a showcase competition that will be held 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. April 19 in CREOL, the College of Optics and Photonics building lobby. A panel of external judges will evaluate the showcases and select the top three winners. The selection criteria are: creativity and methodology, completeness of the project and presentation.
