All students in the Photonic Science and Engineering BS degree program are required to complete a senior design group project that is technically challenging, with emphasis on solving real-world problems. The projects are generated from a variety of resources including design problems proposed by industry, faculty, or student-initiated topics.
Students will present their Design Projects in a Showcase competition that will be held from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM on April 19th in CREOL Lobby. A panel of external judges will evaluate the showcases and select the top three winners. The selection criteria are: Creativity and methodology; Completeness of the project; and Presentation.
