Abstract
Recent research in biomedical AI has demonstrated the ability to not only aid in disease diagnosis and prognosis, but also facilitate procedure guidance and empower precision medicine approaches tailored to individual patients. To translate research findings into clinical practice, translational AI has emerged as a pivotal force in accelerating the pace of medical technology development and enhancing patient care. It is a multifaceted effort that requires overcoming many challenges such as data privacy, algorithm bias, and regulatory compliance, necessitating collaborative efforts among researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to address these issues. In this talk, I will share my experience in bridging the gap between unmet biomedical needs and multidisciplinary technology development.
