Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) will be holding Downtown’s second annual Field of Memories event on Tuesday, 9/10, from 11 AM – 2 PM, on Bentley St., between the Parramore Garage and DPAC. This event commemorates the approximately 1100 college students lost to suicide each year. Passersby will be invited to write a message of hope, positivity, or remembrance on a yellow flag, to be planted in the grassy area adjacent to the retention pond. The intent is to not only honor those who have died by suicide, but to increase awareness of both the prevalence of suicide and the resources that can prevent it.
