Title: Lyapunov Functions for Large-Scale Dynamical Systems

Abstract: This presentation revisits Lyapunov functions and their applications in large-scale dynamical systems, such as heterogeneous population models. We highlight recent advancements and ongoing challenges in establishing the global stability of both disease-free and endemic equilibria in infectious disease models. Noteworthy among recent advancements are work on discrete-time epidemiological models, offering promising insights that may steer future directions.
