The Rising of China – Beyond Catch-up

Professor Xiaobo Wu of Zhejiang University , Qiushi Chair, Professor of Strategy and Innovation Management, Dean of School of Management, Cheung Kong Scholar Chair Professor of Ministry of Education, China, will address the main drivers of China’s fast-paced economic rise, the dynamics of innovation patterns, and key managerial lessons. He will also decipher what is behind the GDP of China’s economy, the challenges for sustainable development in the short term and long run, and the implications to U.S. economy.

Professor Xiaobo Wu is Director of the National Institute for Innovation Management, and Director of Global Zhejiang Entrepreneur Research Center, at Zhejiang University. He is also the director of the Zhejiang University—Cambridge University Joint Research Center for Global Manufacturing and Innovation Management. Prior to his position at Zhejiang University, Professor WU served as the Senior Vice President of International Council for Small Business. His research interest includes: innovation management, strategic management, global competitive Strategy, information technology and management reform.
