Schubert's "Die Winterreise"

Saturday, February 15, 2025 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Franz Schubert's Winterreise (Winter Journey) is probably the most respected and performed song cycle ever written. Published in 1828, it is a setting of 24 poems by German poet Wilhelm Müller. This performance is a product of Thomas Potter's voice studio, each singing 2 or 3 of the songs, accompanied by pianist Julie Tompkins. It was designed to introduce the UCF voice students to this monumental work, and to share it in a public performance.
