Speaker Series - Impacted by the System: Walter Dunn - 27 years of Innocence

Monday, September 30, 2024 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Many UCF students, faculty, and staff have been directly impacted by the criminal justice system or have a family member or known associate who has been impacted. We invite you to join us at our first Speakers Series - Impacted by the System event. Attendees will interact with Walter Dunn to hear about his powerful journey through the legal system. The story of overturning his sentence after 27 years in state prison will show attendees the power of overcoming hurdles and teach about the daunting challenge of reintegration into society. Determined to make a positive impact, Mr. Dunn shares his story as he works to collaborate with a diverse audience on criminal justice reform and education for formerly incarcerated individuals. A hybrid event, participants are welcome to join virtually or in-person.
