MSE Distinguished Seminar Series with Krishnendu Roy

Join us for a seminar featuring Dr. Krishnendu Roy, the Bruce and Bridgitt Evans Dean of Engineering and Vanderbilt University, a distinguished leader in regenerative medicine and biomedical engineering. He received his B.T. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, his M.S. from Boston University, and his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Roy has dedicated his career to pioneering the development of innovative biomaterial-based strategies to address some of the most pressing challenges in healthcare.

His work focuses on developing novel delivery systems for vaccines and cancer therapies, engineering microfluidic vascularized microenvironments, and advancing methods to manufacture therapeutic immune cells. Dr. Roy's groundbreaking contributions have earned him numerous honors, including election as a Fellow of AIMBE and BMES, and he will share insights that are shaping the future of biomedical engineering.
