This event is to help students get ready for the 2025 Blackstone LaunchPad Florida Innovation Challenge Sponsored by the Orlando Magic. Orlando Magic Innovation Ideas Circles are team-based events where students develop bold ideas to reimagine fan engagement. What does this Ideas Circle Offer?
As a former professional athlete and founder of Player Epic, Johnny has seen firsthand how fans connect with teams at every stage of their journey — from first discovery to lifelong loyalty. The fan lifecycle isn’t just about watching games; it’s about building relationships. For international fans, that journey often starts online or through gaming before ever stepping foot in an arena. By combining digital engagement, gamification, and athlete-driven storytelling, teams can create deeper, more personal connections that go beyond highlights and merchandise. When fans feel like they’re part of the journey — training like the players, being rewarded for their passion, and seeing themselves reflected in the team — that’s where real loyalty is built.
