Emerging Media MFA - Animation and Visual Effects Open House

We invite you join the students and faculty of the Emerging Media MFA - Animation and Visual Effects program for our upcoming open house to learn more about the Animation and Visual Effects program of study. 

The Animation and Visual Effects track is a three-year, full-time series of courses designed to emulate the professional and independent studio environment. Students desiring admission should be primarily interested in the opportunity to create their own animation and/or visual effects thesis film. In this program students are encouraged to develop their visual storytelling skills while using a variety of animation and visual effects techniques, including traditional hand-drawn, stop motion, 2D computer, and 3D computer animation.

The event allows for both In-person or Virtual attendance.

At the open house, you’ll learn about:

• Portfolio expectations
  
• The program's emphasis on building a solid foundation in animation techniques, theory, and storytelling.
• How the production structure and faculty mentorship prepare students for success in the animation industry.

You’ll also have the chance to:

• Tour our facilities and labs.
• See examples of student work.
• Ask questions about the curriculum, studio environment, and career preparation.
