GLAMPing is a week-long day camp for incoming 6th and 7th graders that is designed to promote future careers and leadership in science and engineering.
The Campers, or “GLAMPers”, will be introduced to an array of engineering disciplines as they unleash their creative STEM minds and dive into the world of making and engineering. More importantly, the camp provides students with hands-on experiences in a lab, or makerspace, to encourage creativity and build skills that can help them better comprehend engineering concepts, improve their confidence, and increase their understanding of technical topics and as failure as an opportunity to learn.
Additionally, the program will discuss topics of leadership and self-esteem that help the GLAMPers learn the skills necessary to become the STEM leaders of tomorrow. For more information, visit https://stem.ucf.edu/glamping/
