Food Behind Bars with Walter Dunn

Monday, March 30, 2026 9 a.m. to 10:20 a.m.

Many students, faculty, and staff have been personally impacted by the criminal justice system, whether directly or through family, friends, or community. Join us for the second Spring Lived-In Experience Speaker Series featuring Walter Dunn, a successful returning citizen and justice reform advocate.

During this engaging guest lecture, the participants will discover the hidden world of food behind bars.

Come and learn about what meals look like, how they are regulated, and what they reveal about life inside Florida’s prisons. Additionally, participate in a cooking simulation using items commonly found in prison canteens!
