In this first Women's Research Center – sponsored workshop on work/family life and the demands of an academic career. The faculty panelists will answer questions suggested by the UCF Faculty Parents Network Facebook Group pertaining to experiences such as negotiating maternity leave, maintaining an active research agenda while parenting small, preteen, and teenaged children, time management, and sharing resources for “making it work.” The discussion is open to the public and attendees are encouraged to participate in the discussion as the goal of this workshop is to foster an open conversation on the vicissitudes of parenting in academia.
