The Active Minds National Conference is coming to the UCF campus!!
When: November 9-11 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Where: UCF Student Union, University of Central Florida, Orlando, FL

Conference Highlights:
•Friday Send Silence Packing display - Student Union South Patio - 10:00am to 3:45pm
•Friday evening presentation by Dr. Janet Kemp, National Mental Health Program Director for Suicide Prevention, Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Mental Health
•Saturday afternoon keynote panel including Pablo Torre, Staff Writer at Sports Illustrated; Chamique Holdsclaw, Professional Women’s Basketball Player & Active Minds National Celebrity Spokesperson; Dr. David McDuff, MD, Sports Psychiatrist for the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens
•Saturday night free screening of Part Time Fabulous, with an opportunity to meet Jules Bruff, Creator, Executive Producer, Producer, co-writer and star of the film.

Active Minds is the only organization working to utilize the student voice to change the conversation about mental health on college campuses. The organization works to increase students’ awareness of mental health issues, provide information and resources regarding mental health and mental illness, encourage students to seek help as soon as it is needed, and serve as liaison between students and the mental health community.

This year, the UCF Active Minds chapter, supported by Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) was awarded the honor of being a five star chapter, which is the highest a chapter can earn.
