On Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 6:00 PM, in the Fairwinds Alumni Center the Multicultural Student Center would like to cordially invite you to attend; An Evening with Jamar Rogers, in honor of World Aids Day. Jamar made his debut on NBC’s The Voice and has had America in awe ever since.
Aside from his talent as a musical artist, Jamar’s personal story is one of empowerment, sacrifice, dedication and commitment. As a young man Jamar was diagnosed with HIV. Since his diagnosis, Jamar has sought to find the light in darkest of places in both his own life and in the lives of his fans. He is using his influence to demystify HIV/AIDS along with spreading a message filled with hope and second chances to a generation of young people. Jamar has made appearances on popular shows such as The Today Show, Ellen, CNN, E! Entertainment, MTV News, US Weekly,
RollingStone.com, The Huffington Post, and many more. He is also currently in the process of recording an album set for release this fall.
