World AIDS Day Dinner Banquet

Thursday, November 29, 2012 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
In honor of World AIDS Day, the Multicultural Student Center will be hosting An Evening with Jamar Rogers. Jamar made his debut on NBC’s The Voice and has had America in awe ever since.

Aside from his talent as a musical artist, Jamar’s personal story is one of empowerment, sacrifice, dedication and commitment. As a young man Jamar was diagnosed with HIV. Since his diagnosis, Jamar has sought to find the light in darkest of places in both his own life and in the lives of his fans. He is using his influence to demystify HIV/AIDS along with spreading a message filled with hope and second chances to a generation of young people. Jamar has made appearances on popular shows such as The Today Show, Ellen, CNN, E! Entertainment, MTV News, US Weekly, RollingStone.com, The Huffington Post, and many more. He is also currently in the process of recording an album set for release this fall.

Jamar will be sharing his story and performing a brief song set. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to attend a Q&A session after the event.

An Evening with Jamar Rogers will be held at the UCF Alumni Center on November 29th, 2012 at 6pm. Jamar will be sharing his story and performing a brief song set.
