Guest Speaker: Gary R. Mormino
Frank E. Duckwall Professor Emeritus of Florida History
at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. 

Dr. Mormino holds the position of scholar in residence at the Florida Humanities Council. His books include Immigrants on the Hill and the Immigrant World of Ybor City, published by University of Illinois Press. In 2006 he wrote Land of Sunshine, State of Dreams: A Social History of Modern Florida. The book was adapted for a PBS film, The Florida Dream. He is working on two major books, a history of Florida and WWII, and a history of Florida, 2000-2016.
