LZ Granderson: Dare You to Move

Thursday, October 24, 2013 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Join us for LGBTQ+ History Month Keynote Speaker LZ Granderson!

Through humor and candid personal stories, LZ Granderson shares his journey from poverty, physical abuse, and gang culture in Detroit to becoming the most visible openly gay man working in sports today. In his commentary LZ has tackled taboo subjects such as usage of the N-word in the black community, the presence of gays in the locker room, and the truths and lies about reverse racism. Blistering honest and insightful, LZ spares no one. Not even himself.

LZ Granderson writes regular columns for ESPN and CNN and is a fixture on both networks TV broadcasts. He was recently named Journalist of the Year by the National Gay and Lesbian Journalists Association.

Doors open at 6:00pm and the speech begins at 6:30pm.
